ANOTHER GERMAN BOOBY TRAP A new version of the booby trap is reported to have been used by the Germans in Libya last spring. Trip-wires are strung to give the appearance of a minefield, and the usual gaps are left in the wire. In actual fact, the only mined areas are the gaps themselves. Care must therefore be taken before attempting to go through a gap where no traffic appears to have passed.
