Examination of materiel abandoned by the enemy has made available some additional
specifications of the German 88-mm antitank gun, Model 1943. Mention of this
gun was included in Tactical and Technical Trends, No. 38, p. 7.

It is reported that the gun will penetrate about 5 inches of armor at normal
ranges. The carriage is the same as that used for the 155-mm howitzer. The
guns are said to be organized in independent battalions under Army headquarters.
