NEW GERMAN SEMIAUTOMATIC RIFLE
A German source states that the semiautomatic rifle 41, Gewehr 41, (see
Tactical and Technical Trends No. 27, p. 35) has been modified in certain
respects. The modified version is to be called the Gewehr 43. The principal
modifications are reported to be the replacement of the gas port by a gas cylinder
with piston, and the built-in magazine by an easily changeable magazine.
