If the division is compelled to assume a defensive role, it will either attack with limited objectives before the enemy has completed his preparations, or it will employ the motorized infantry brigade, supported by other arms of the division, keeping the tank brigade in readiness for a counterattack.

If the enemy attacks with tanks, the attack of the tank brigade will be concentrated against them. The principles laid down in paragraph 126 are applicable.
