Operation Lüttich: Geran counterattack near Mortain in an attempt to cutoff General Patton's advancing forces. Four German panzer divisions (1st SS, 2nd SS, 2nd Panzer, 116th Panzer) provide forces for the attack. Mortain is captured from the U.S. 30th Infantry Division.
